 Preparing for the start of the Asian Beekeepers Conference next August

The Organizing Committee of the Sixteenth International Conference of the Asian Beekeepers Association completes its preparations for holding the conference, which is organized by the Beekeepers Cooperative Association in Al-Baha, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and in partnership with the Asian Beekeepers Association, during the period from 7 – 9 August 2023, at the National Park Hotel in Bujlarshi Governorate, Al-Baha Region.

This was explained by A.D. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Khazim Al-Ghamdi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee and Chairman of the Beekeepers Cooperative Association in Al-Baha, who stated that registration for the conference has begun through the website, and it is expected that more than 600 participants from more than 60 countries, most of them from Asian countries, will attend the conference.

Dr. Al-Khazem indicated that there will be an exhibition accompanying the conference, which will include more than 50 pavilions. To display the latest tools and supplies of bees and their products, such as: honey, royal jelly, propolis, pollen, and others, and he said that the opportunity is available for the participation of those interested, especially from within the Kingdom.

Dr. Al-Khazem added that there will be scientific activities accompanying the conference, including a training program on the treatment of bee products, and a group of doctors treating bee products from countries such as China, Romania, the United States and Turkey will participate in its implementation, and there will be a round table for discussion on a number of topics.

The head of the organizing committee of the conference indicated that the committee had prepared a tourism program that included tours for the participants within the Al-Baha region, and trips for Muslims among them to Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, explaining that this conference is an opportunity to highlight the efforts being made in the Kingdom, whether by government agencies, the private sector, or individuals in the field of tourism. Beekeeping and its industry, and Al-Khazem urged all interested parties to interact with this global event, which is being held for the second time in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, stressing the importance of the support and sponsorship of the relevant government agencies and the private sector for the conference, so that it is appropriate and appropriate for the leadership of the Kingdom and its leadership role at the continental and global levels.
